The Chassis Spine is a fully engineered solution designed specifically for this application. We designed these as an extrusion made from 6061-T6 Aircraft grade aluminum. This product went through many revisions until we ended up with a shape that is low in weight while adding the needed rigidity.
It is designed to reinforce the entire length of the 4” x 1.5” main frame tube. The Chassis Spine will keep the main frame tube true and keep it from deforming from the stress of racing and aggressive trail riding. Another problem area the ATR Chassis Spine solves is that without a skid plate the main frame tube is exposed and easily dented from hitting rocks or stumps. Once the frame tube is dented it can be easier for it to deform further. The Chassis Spine can be used to bring some damaged frames back to spec.
The Chassis Spine is a simple “bolt on” install. If your chassis is out of alignment it may require more force from a mallet and block of wood to install them, but they will straighten your deformed frame in the process.
And the best part? These retail for only $195! Relatively cheap insurance against ending up with a damaged frame. To us this product just makes sense. Designing these as an extrusion we were able to keep the price down. With them being aluminum you won’t need to worry about having steel tube from a home fabricated brace causing your chassis to rust from the inside out.
*Note: shipping cost on the ATR Chassis Spine is calculated by dimensional weight - while the Spine weighs around 10.5 LB, because it is an "over sized" shipment with UPS it is calculated by both weight and size - aka dimensional weight. Also, for Canada orders we ship with USPS to save our customers the added customs tax at the border. Usually saving you around $30. Sometimes Canada shipments cost a little more than what our site calculates. We absorb it when we can, but if it comes exorbitant we will contact you ahead of time before your card is billed and your order shipped.
