Can-Am Defender & Defender MAX HD10 Frame Stiffener, 4.5 mm Steel Plate, Reinforces A-Arm Mounts for Portals, Lifts and Big Tires, Front or Rear

The Defender HD10 has the torque to turn big tires, but portal gear lifts, tall lift kits and oversized tires multiply the force on the frame where the A-arms mount. Over time that load can bend or crack the factory mounts. This frame stiffener adds a plate of heavy steel at those weak spots, so the chassis stays straight and the alignment stays true on a built machine.

Why a Built Defender Needs One

Every inch of lift and every inch of tire diameter adds leverage against the suspension mounts. Portal boxes add even more, because they multiply torque at the wheel. The stock frame was designed for stock tires, so reinforcing it is cheap insurance against a bent mount that pulls the alignment out or leaves you stuck in the back forty.

Front, Rear or Both

The front stiffener reinforces the front A-arm mounts, which take the hardest hits from rocks and ruts. The rear stiffener supports the rear mounts that carry the bed load and the drive torque. Heavy builds with portals on all four corners usually get both.

Made for Work and Hard Riding

The 4.5 mm steel plates are powder coated to resist rust in mud, snow and salt, which matters on a machine that may plow in the winter and work cattle in the summer.
