The factory shocks on a Can-Am Defender HD10 are fine for light chores, but add bigger tires, a full bed or a cab enclosure and they start to wallow, bottom out and fade on rough ground. SDi Terrain Master 2.1 shocks replace them with an adjustable, rebuildable shock that keeps a heavy Defender stable and comfortable whether you're crawling a rocky two-track or hauling feed across a rutted pasture.
Highlights
- High-flow damping with low-friction piggyback reservoirs
- Large-bore compression adjuster to dial in soft or firm
- Quick-adjust preload ring for ride height and load
- All-aluminum construction, billet T6 aluminum pistons
- Hardened chrome-coated shafts and PTFE-lined bearings
- Lightweight barrel springs
- Fully rebuildable seal head
- Designed and developed in the USA
Consistent Control on Long Rides
Shocks get hot when they work hard, and hot oil means weaker damping. The piggyback reservoirs on these shocks hold extra oil and separate the gas charge, which reduces heat buildup and keeps the damping consistent mile after mile. The large compression knob lets you go softer for a smooth ride on an empty machine or firmer when the bed is loaded and the trailer is hooked up.
Built to Be Serviced, Not Thrown Away
Aluminum shock bodies resist corrosion, hardened chrome shafts and premium bushings cut friction and wear, and billet aluminum pistons hold their damping under load. The seal head is fully rebuildable, so when the shocks eventually need fresh oil and seals they can be serviced instead of replaced.
Check Your Exact Model
These shocks are listed for specific Defender HD10 trims, mainly the Limited, XT Cab and Lone Star models. Check the fitment table below carefully before ordering.

Installation Notes
Shock replacement is a bolt-on job, but support the machine safely on stands with the wheels off the ground before removing the factory shocks. Set preload evenly side to side, then fine-tune compression after a test ride.
