Many base Can-Am Defender models came without power steering, and anyone who has turned one on a muddy hillside or in a rocky creek bed knows how much arm it takes. This EZ-Steer electric power steering kit cuts steering effort dramatically, smooths out kickback from rocks and ruts, and makes long days in the seat a lot less tiring.

Easier Steering, More Control

Wide tires, lift kits and a loaded bed all make a Defender harder to steer. With power assist, slow technical turns in the rocks, tight maneuvers around the barn and long trail rides all take less effort. The system also damps out the jolts that come back through the wheel when a tire hits a rock or rut, so you stay in control at speed on rough ground.

Built to Get Wet

Water is what kills many electric steering units. This kit seals the input and output shafts and uses a molded seal on the control box, so you can ride through mud holes, creek crossings and pressure-wash the machine without worrying about the electronics.

Installation Notes
