Polaris RZR / Ranger Belt & Clutch T-Handle Tool 1/4-20 UNC with 10mm Socket - DRT Motorsports

DRT's Belt/Clutch T-Handle Tool makes secondary clutch belt service on Polaris RZR and Ranger models simple in the shop, the trailer or on the trail. Its 1/4-20 UNC threaded end fits the factory service hole and spreads the sheaves for belt removal and installation, and it holds the clutch open for cleaning and inspection. An integrated 10 mm socket handles clutch-cover bolts, and the 1/4 in drive takes other sockets.

Installation Notes

With the engine off and cool, remove the clutch cover with the 10 mm socket, thread the tool into the secondary service hole to spread the sheaves, roll the belt off, and fit the new one. Back the tool out, reinstall the cover, and follow the belt break-in procedure. Good to know: the tool only threads into secondary clutches with a 1/4-20 UNC service hole, which DRT lists for the Polaris models above. Never force it into a different thread size, because that damages the clutch. Thread it in by hand at first, then turn it slowly and evenly. While the sheaves are open, blow out belt dust, look for glazing, cracks or uneven wear on the sheave faces, and check the new belt's part number against your owner's manual. Store the tool with your spare belt so they travel together. Wipe the tool clean after use and keep it dry so the chrome finish lasts.
