Rough riding is a blast, but a stiff rear end on a Polaris RZR XP 1000 can turn whoops, hills and broken trail into a punishing ride. The sway bar shock replaces one standard rear sway bar link with a link that has internal shock-absorbing springs, so the bar moves with the terrain instead of fighting it. One of these is usually all it takes to transform the rear suspension on an XP 1000 or XP 4 1000.
Highlights
- Shock-absorbing internal coils for a smoother ride
- Made of hardened, black nitride coated 4140 steel
- M12 x 1.25 threads
- Easy bolt-on installation with stock hardware
- Sold individually
Internal Shock-Absorbing Coils
Standard sway bar links are static and don't move with the sway bar. That's fine at an easy pace, but as soon as you hit a bump, a solid link passes the impact straight through. This link has internal coils that expand and contract with the sway bar, adding shock absorption on uneven terrain. The result is a smoother ride and improved articulation.
Get the Perfect Ride
These are sold individually because for most riders, one is all you need to notice a big improvement. Hardcore riders who stick to aggressive applications like hilly trails or rock crawling can install two sway bar shocks for the most comfortable ride possible.
Long-Lasting Strength
Each link is made from hardened 4140 steel with a black nitride coating for long-lasting strength in rough riding. Installation is a simple bolt-on job: secure the shock to the sway bar and trailing arm using the included bushings and your stock hardware.
What's in the Box
- (1) Sway bar link (sway bar shock)
- (2) Bushings
- (2) Spacer bushings
Who It's For and What Pairs Well
This is for trail riders, desert riders in rough whoops, and rock crawlers who want more rear articulation and a softer ride without giving up the sway bar. Order two if you ride aggressive terrain. If you'd rather stiffen the rear for cornering, see the billet adjustable links in RZR XP 1000 sway bars (4-seat: RZR XP 4 1000 sway bars). If you are replacing worn trailing arms at the same time, upgrades are in RZR XP 1000 trailing arms.
