Installation Notes
Bolt in the mounts with the steel backing bracket, with minor drilling, then fit the mirrors. Recheck the hardware after the first ride and at each service interval. Good to know: the steel backing bracket spreads the load from the mirror across the mounting area, which helps prevent loosening and vibration on washboard roads. Doors still open, close and latch normally after install. Set the mirror breakaway tension so the mirrors fold rather than break if they catch brush. If you plan to add lights, run the wire through the pass-through plate during install so you do not have to take the mount apart later.
