Clamps can loosen and shift over time. A weld-in mount will not. DRT's coped steel weld bung gives a fabricated cage a permanent M10x1.25 threaded mounting point. It is coped for 1.75 in tube and easy to weld and fill on other tube sizes. It is the companion base for DRT Tactical Convex mirrors and also anchors light bar brackets, chase lights, air pumpers, fire extinguishers and other accessories.

Installation Notes
Mark the location, clean the tube to bare metal, tack the bung square to the tube, and fully weld it. Chase the threads with an M10x1.25 tap if any spatter gets in, then paint or powder coat. Welding must be done by a qualified welder. Never weld near the fuel system or on a cage that is still wired or fueled without disconnecting the battery and protecting nearby parts.
