A full windshield is usually the first upgrade a Can-Am Defender HD10 gets, and for good reason: it turns a cold, muddy ride into a comfortable one. This one is cut specifically for the HD10's hood and cage from 1/4" polycarbonate, sealed with a full-length rubber bulb so it rides quiet and rattle-free, and held tight with heavy-duty clamps that stay put on rough ground.

Choose Your Material

The Windshield Material picker offers three versions, priced from lowest to highest:

• Standard Polycarbonate, Clear: strong and affordable for occasional riding
• Scratch Resistant Polycarbonate, Clear: adds the XR Optic Hard Coating so dust, branches and wiping don't haze it
• Scratch Resistant Polycarbonate, Dark Tint: hard coat plus tint to cut sun glare

If you ride dusty trails or clean the windshield often, the scratch-resistant coat is worth it; it keeps the windshield clear for years and protects against yellowing.

Full vs. Vented Full

• Full windshield: maximum seal and the simplest setup; great for cold weather and mud runs
• Vented full windshield: the same coverage with adjustable vents to control airflow and help reduce fogging

Keeping It Clear

Rinse off grit before you wipe, then wash with mild soap and water and dry with microfiber. On the standard polycarbonate version, avoid dry-wiping dust, which causes fine scratches over time. Check the clamps for tightness after the first couple of rides; the bulb seal settles in and they may need a quick snug.

Good to Know

The standard polycarbonate version is the budget pick; it's just as strong, but without the hard coat it scratches more easily from dust and wiping. Dark tint helps most when you ride into a low sun.

Installation Notes
