Lifting a field-dressed buck, a log round or a pallet of feed into the bed of a Can-Am Defender HD10 is the kind of job that wrecks your back. The Game Loader Rack puts a 500 lb winch over the bed on a stout steel frame, so the winch does the lifting and you guide the load in. It's as useful for farm chores as it is during hunting season.
Highlights
- 500 lb winch with durable synthetic rope (15' long)
- 1.5" powder-coated steel tubing that won't bend under load
- Clamps to the cage with heavy-duty brackets, no cutting or drilling
- Won't interfere with dump bed operation
- Works with most roofs and rear windshields
- 2 locations to mount cube lights
- Corded remote, hook, hand strap and fairlead included
Lift Instead of Heave
Hook the load, hit the corded remote and the winch raises it over the bed for you to swing into place. Deer, elk quarters, hay bales, rocks, mulch bags, logs and job-site materials all load with controlled, mechanical assistance instead of brute strength.
Built Tough
The frame uses 1.5" steel tubing that stays rigid and stable while lifting. Powder coating protects it from rust and corrosion in wet seasons and from the blood and grime of game.
Light the Job
Choose "Yes, Qty 2" to add two cube lights for the dedicated mounts (this adds to the price). Lighting the bed area makes early-morning and after-dark loading safer and easier.
Game Loader vs. Bed Winch
- Game loader rack: lifts the load up from above, ideal for game and items you want hoisted, not dragged
- Bed winch: drags loads up a tilted bed floor; great for logs and bales
If you mostly load deer and want to keep them clean, the overhead lift of the game loader is the better choice.
Safe Lifting Tips
- Never exceed the OEM cage capacity when using the winch
- Stay within the 500 lb winch rating
- Keep hands clear of the rope and hook while lifting
- Lower the load gently into the bed and strap it down before driving
- Rinse the synthetic rope after bloody or muddy jobs and let it dry
Will It Fit My Defender?
The rack mounts to the cage, so it works with most Defender and Defender MAX HD10 setups, including most roofs and rear windshields. It is not compatible with OEM or aftermarket snorkels, and machines with full doors should be checked against the fitment notes before ordering.
Why Not Build Your Own?
Homemade hoists often get the winch geometry wrong, overload a single cage tube or swing loads into the cab. This rack uses vehicle-specific mounts, steel construction and a matched winch, and it's tested for stability and long-term durability in real hunting and work conditions. That means it lifts straight, stays put and spreads the load across the cage with six clamps.
Built for Hunting Season
- Load a deer or hog by yourself, even far from the truck
- Lift game clean instead of dragging it across the bed floor
- Hang game for a quick look or photo before loading
- Use cube lights for safe loading after dark
And the Rest of the Year
Off season, it's a hoist for the farm and property: rocks for landscaping, bags of feed and mulch, salt blocks, small engines and anything heavy that has to go into the bed. Because the dump bed still works, you can lift a load in, drive to where it's needed and dump it out.
Install Overview
Bolt the rack together, position it over the bed and fasten it to the cage with the six clamps. Mount the winch, run the wiring and connect the corded remote. Most owners finish with basic hand tools; written instructions are linked below. Re-check the clamp bolts after the first few loads, since they can settle as the rack takes weight, and keep the corded remote stored out of the bed so it doesn't get crushed or soaked. The synthetic rope is lighter and safer than steel cable and won't rust.

Who It's For and What Pairs Well
For hunters, farmers and landowners with a Defender or Defender MAX HD10 who load heavy items alone. Add a bed rack or cooler from Can-Am Defender cargo and storage, a front winch from Defender recovery gear and winches and lights from Defender lights.
