Wrestling logs, hay bales and fence posts into a Can-Am Defender HD10's bed is hard on your back. This bed winch mounts at the front of the bed: tilt the dump bed, hook the load and let the 500 lb winch pull it up and into place. Space for two cube lights makes it useful after dark too.

Works With Your Dump Bed

Because the wiring is routed under the bed, it stays clear when you raise it. Tilt the bed, run the rope out and winch the load up the ramp of the bed floor in one smooth pull.

A Remote That's Always There

The wired remote never needs batteries and won't get lost in the grass. A cab-mounted holder keeps it handy, and the long cord lets you step out to watch the load.

Optional Cube Lights

Choose "Yes, Qty 2" to add two cube lights (this adds to the price). The light mounts are separate from the winch, so they stay on the machine even if the winch is removed.

Safe Loading Tips

• Stay within the 500 lb winch rating
• Stand to the side of the rope line, never behind the load
• Pull in short bursts and let the winch rest on long pulls
• Lower the bed slowly by hand or with a power dump bed once the load is in
• Strap the load down before driving off

Synthetic Rope Care

Synthetic rope won't rust, but grit wears it from the inside. Rinse it after muddy jobs, let it dry spooled loosely, and check for fraying where it rubs the bed edge. Replace the rope if you see cuts or flat, glazed spots.

Bed Winch vs. Front Winch

A front winch is built for vehicle recovery and is far too strong and fast for careful loading. A 500 lb bed winch is sized for controlled pulls of cargo into the bed, with a remote you can run from beside the machine. Many working Defenders run both: one for getting unstuck, one for loading.
