A full windshield keeps rocks, branches and mud out of the Defender HD11's cab, but a sealed cab can get stuffy on a warm day. This vented windshield solves that with three-position vents that let you dial in exactly as much fresh air as you want, and they stay where you set them on bumpy ground.
Highlights
- Three-position vents for airflow control
- 1/4" polycarbonate, 250x stronger than glass, 25x stronger than acrylic
- XR Optic Hard Coating resists scratches and UV
- Clear
- Fits the contours of the cage and hood
- Preinstalled full-length bulb seal
- Rattle-free fit
- Works with most hard and soft tops
- Made in the USA; 1-year warranty
Airflow Your Way
Close the vents on cold mornings, crack them on mild days, and open them fully when it's hot. Unlike a flip windshield, the panel stays in place, so you keep full protection while you vent.
Clear for Years
The hard coat makes the polycarbonate far more scratch resistant and blocks UV, so it won't yellow over time.
Vented vs. Flip Windshield
- Vented (this one): always-on protection with adjustable airflow, simple and steady
- Flip: opens all the way for maximum airflow, more moving parts
Who It's For and What Pairs Well
For HD11 and MAX HD11 owners who want protection with fresh air. Add a rear windshield and roof from Defender windshields and Defender roofs.
FAQ
Will it work with my roof?
It works with most hard and soft tops.
What tint is it? Clear.
Why Polycarbonate
Polycarbonate is the standard for off-road windshields because it doesn't shatter. At 1/4" thick, it shrugs off rocks and branches that would crack glass, and the hard coat closes most of the scratch-resistance gap with glass.
Building a Full Cab
A front windshield is usually the first step. Add a rear windshield to stop dust suction, a roof to keep rain off, and doors for a sealed cab that a heater can warm in winter.
Care Tips
- Rinse dust and mud off before wiping
- Clean with mild soap, water and a soft cloth
- Avoid ammonia-based cleaners
- Check the clamps every few months
Will it rattle? No. It's shaped to the cage and hood and sealed with a bulb seal for a rattle-free fit.
Is it DOT approved? No. Polycarbonate windshields aren't DOT approved; choose a glass windshield if you need one.
