Polycarbonate is tough, but nothing stays as clear for as long as real glass, especially when you ride through sand, dust and brush. This Glass Windshield for the 2024+ Polaris RZR XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 uses DOT-approved laminated safety glass in a powder-coated steel frame, with a manual wiper and BreezeRite vents, so it gives the clear view and weather sealing of a car windshield on your side-by-side.
Highlights
- DOT-approved laminated safety glass, lightly tinted to reduce glare
- Virtually scratchproof against branches, dust and sand
- Steel frame with UV-resistant powder coating
- BreezeRite vents with three positions
- Manual wiper positioned in front of the driver
- Secure Seal clamps, gaskets and watertight seals
- Glass comes installed in the frame; 1-year manufacturer warranty
Clear View, Mile After Mile
Every wipe of a dusty polycarbonate windshield leaves fine scratches. Laminated glass doesn't scratch that way, so the view stays clear after years of trail dust and branch slaps. The light tint takes the edge off bright sun, and because the glass is DOT approved, it's a step toward making the machine street legal where local rules allow.
Wiper and Vents Included
The manual wiper sits above the driver's seat, where you can reach it to clear mud, dust and rain from your line of sight. The injection-molded BreezeRite vents open, half-open or close by hand, giving you airflow control without giving up the protection of a full windshield.
Sealed Against Weather
Secure Seal Technology uses heavy-duty clamps and gaskets to hold the frame to the cage, and watertight seals keep rain from running into the cab. The steel frame is rigid, so the windshield stays quiet and solid over rough ground.
Full Glass vs. Flip-Down Glass
- Full glass (this one): best scratch resistance and sealing for cold, rain and road use, with vents and a simpler install
- Flip-down glass: hinges down for full airflow in warm weather, but you have to stop and get out to open or close it
Glass vs. Hard-Coated Polycarbonate
Hard-coated polycarbonate is lighter, cheaper and almost impossible to break. Laminated glass is heavier but resists scratching better than any coating, and a wiper works best on glass. If you ride sand, dust or brushy trails often, the extra weight and cost of glass usually pays off in a windshield you can still see through years later.

Installation Notes
With the glass already set in the frame, installation is mostly mounting the clamps to the cage and seating the gaskets. Full-color instructions walk through each step. A helper makes it easier to hold the frame in place while you start the clamps, since a glass windshield is heavier than a polycarbonate one.
