When a transmission on a 2024+ Polaris RZR XP 1000 lets go, the cause is often a failed bearing, and the idler shaft bearing is a known weak spot. This Premium Transmission Bearing Upgrade Kit replaces the factory bearings with NACHI bearings made from top-grade Japanese steel and swaps the idler shaft bearing for an angular-contact thrust bearing built to handle the side load that kills stock bearings.
Highlights
- Complete upgraded bearing set for the transmission
- Angular-contact thrust bearing prevents the common idler shaft failure
- NACHI bearings: high-quality Japanese steel, precision made
- Optional seal kit with double-lip seals
- Compatible with OEM transmissions only
Why the Thrust Bearing Matters
The idler shaft pushes sideways on its bearing under load. A standard ball bearing isn't designed for that thrust, so it overheats, seizes or comes apart, and it can take the rest of the transmission with it. An angular-contact thrust bearing is built for combined radial and axial load, so it runs cooler and keeps the shaft located under hard acceleration, big tires and heavy towing.
Choose Your Style
| Option | What you get |
|---|---|
| Bearings Only | The full NACHI bearing set including the angular-contact thrust bearing |
| Bearings + Seal Kit | The bearing set plus two axle input seals, one clutch input seal and one front output seal, all double-lipped |
If the transmission is apart anyway, replacing the seals at the same time is cheap insurance against mud and water getting in later.

Who It's For and What Pairs Well
For 2024+ RZR XP and XP 4 owners rebuilding a transmission, adding big tires or portals, or who want to prevent a failure before it strands them. Pair it with a clutch kit from RZR XP 1000 2024+ clutch and transmission to keep belt slip and heat down, and with stronger axles from 2024+ RZR XP axles.

Installation Notes
Installing transmission bearings means removing and splitting the transmission case, pressing out the old bearings and pressing in the new ones. It's a job for an experienced home mechanic with a press and bearing drivers, or for a shop. Use the instructions linked below. This kit works with OEM transmissions only, not aftermarket transmission assemblies.
