Installation Notes
Fully bolt-on with no cutting or welding. Mount the rack, attach the struts, and test the locking pins before loading the spare. Why inside: keeping the spare in the cab area of the ADV leaves the whole bed open and keeps the tire out of mud and dust. Use the locking pins every time you lower the rack, and let the gas struts do the lifting. If you build out the cargo area with the DRT molle panels or rear seat harness bar, install those first so you can confirm clearances. Before ordering, measure your spare: the overall diameter must be within the carrier's stated capacity, and a mounted spare adds real weight up high, so check strap tension and hardware torque after the first ride and at every service.
