Run a front windshield on a Can-Am Defender HD10 without a rear one and you'll notice it fast: the low pressure behind the windshield pulls dust and your own rooster tail right into the cab. This sliding rear windshield closes off the back of the cab, and the FS Pro sliding center window opens for a breeze or quick reach into the bed.

Control Your Airflow

On hot days, slide the window open to pull a breeze through the cab. When it's dusty, rainy or cold, slide it shut. The sliding window also gives you quick access to items in the bed without getting out.

Strong Enough for the Trail

Quarter-inch polycarbonate is lightweight yet tough enough to handle flying debris and even some rollovers without breaking. The scratch-resistant slider stays clear even when you open and close it often.

Plastic or Glass Rear Windshield?

• Polycarbonate (this one): lighter, nearly unbreakable and lower cost
• Glass: the most scratch-resistant surface, heavier and more expensive

For most riders polycarbonate is the right call, especially if the machine works in brush or gets loaded with gear that can bump the cab.

Why Dust Comes In From Behind

As the Defender moves, air flows over the roof and front windshield and leaves a low-pressure pocket inside the cab. Air rushes in from the open back to fill it, carrying dust kicked up by the rear tires. Closing the back with a rear windshield removes that path, so the cab stays much cleaner on dirt roads.

Everyday Tips

• Leave the slider cracked open on hot, dry days to keep air moving without the full dust swirl
• Close it on gravel roads, in rain and in cold weather
• Rinse grit out of the slider track now and then so it keeps sliding smoothly
• Check the clamps after the first few rides as the bulb seal settles

Good to Know

The light tint also adds a little privacy for gear in the bed and keeps glare from headlights behind you down at night. It does not change your rear view much in daylight.
