DRT built the CAX3RS1 rock rails for racing. They mount to the X3 frame at three points, so they take hits that would otherwise land on the frame and bodywork, and they are designed not to cost important ground clearance. The tube is 1.25" x .095 high-strength steel with removable panels.

Installation Notes
Mount at three frame points; some drilling is required. Sliders are made to take impacts, so inspect the mounting hardware and frame anchors after any big hit and retorque as needed. Care: rinse mud and road salt off after rides and wash with mild soap. Touch up chips in the powder coat promptly so bare metal does not corrode, and check the mounting points after any hard hit.
