A Ranger with a roof, windshield and doors is a big step up in winter, but without heat it is still a cold box. The Firestorm HT_CU_452 taps the Ranger's engine coolant for up to 18,000 BTU of heat and blows it where you need it, including two defrost vents that keep the windshield clear. It is built for the 2020-up Ranger 1000 and 2018-up Ranger XP 1000 with brackets and hoses cut for this machine.
What It Does for a Ranger Cab
- Two defrost vents keep frost and fog off the windshield, which is a real safety issue when you are plowing at dawn.
- Separate driver and passenger vents, so both people in the cab get heat.
- Built for the Ranger 1000 Base, EPS, Premium and Northstar trims and every 2018-2026 Ranger XP 1000.
- Built-in shutoff valve lets you close off the heater for summer without draining coolant.
- Mounts out of sight for a factory-style look with no visible heater core.
Getting the Most Heat
- Let the engine reach operating temperature before turning the fan up; heat comes from the coolant.
- Aim the defrost vents first on cold mornings, then switch to cab vents once the glass is clear.
- Close the shutoff valve in summer to keep hot coolant out of the cab.

Who It's For and What Pairs Well
This heater is for Ranger owners who work or hunt through the winter with a closed cab. It works best with a Ranger windshield, roof and doors to hold the heat in. Plowing? Pair it with a Denali Ranger snow plow kit.
Installation Notes
The heater ties into the Ranger's coolant system with the supplied hose and alloy Y connectors, and mounts with Ranger-specific brackets. Follow the PDF closely, top off coolant after install and bleed out air before the first cold ride. Moto Alliance writes these instructions from their own prototype installs.
