Packaging on the Pro XP is tight, so a tie rod has to be both strong and slim to clear everything through full travel. DRT's UHD kit uses 7075-T6 billet, which is stronger than 6061, so the rods can be machined to a smaller diameter without losing strength. It works with OEM rack 1824946 and replaces the OEM rod ends 7061257 and 7061258.
Why UHD 7075
- Ultra heavy duty: 7075-T6 billet, stronger and lighter than 6061.
- OEM rack fit: works with rack 1824946, replaces rod ends 7061257 / 7061258.
- Sealed rod ends: proprietary inner ball joint seals the OEM bellow.
- Full-travel clearance: smaller-diameter rods clear all parts.
- Clamping hardware: 303 stainless spacers and Class 10.9 bolts.
- Made in the USA: mil-spec black anodize, laser branding.

Installation Notes
Works with the OEM steering rack. Count the turns as you remove each OEM tie rod or rod end and copy that length so the toe stays close, then get a full alignment before you drive hard. After install, confirm every jam nut is tight and set with thread locker, and paint-mark each nut so movement is easy to spot. Inspect the jam nuts before every ride. Care: check the inner ball joint bellows for tears at every service, since a torn boot lets grit into the rack. Turn the steering lock to lock with the wheels off the ground to confirm clearance at full droop.
