Sidewinder A-Arms give a 2024-2025 Polaris RZR XP 1000 a front end that's as tough as it looks. The tapered, boxed design is built from 1/8" advanced alloy steel plate, the high-clearance bend lifts the arms 1.5" farther from the ground, and a 1.5" forward offset makes room for 35-inch tires without a lift while stretching the wheelbase for better stability.

Highlights

  • 1.5" forward offset for a longer wheelbase and more tire room
  • Fits up to 35" tires without a lift (34" with a front bumper installed)
  • High-clearance bend adds 1.5" of ground clearance
  • Tapered, boxed design from 1/8" advanced alloy steel plate
  • Adjustable pivot blocks for camber control, preset to stock
  • UHMW bushings included at no extra cost
  • UV-resistant powder coat finish
  • Optional preinstalled ball joints
  • Lifetime manufacturer warranty on the A-arms

Boxed Strength

Most A-arms are made from round tubing. Sidewinders are built from boxed steel plate in an alloy with a strength-to-weight ratio better than chromoly. That shape spreads impacts across a wider surface and gives the arm a distinctive tapered look that stands out on any RZR. The arms are lab and field tested and powder coated against rust and corrosion.

Offset and Clearance

The 1.5" forward offset moves the front wheels ahead, lengthening the wheelbase. That gives larger tires room to turn without hitting the body and makes the machine more stable at speed and on climbs. The high-clearance bend keeps the arms tucked up so ruts, rocks and washouts are less likely to catch them.

Camber Adjustment

The pivot blocks come set to stock dimensions. If you add a lift or enough weight to compress the suspension, camber can go out of spec, hurting handling and wearing tires unevenly. The adjustable blocks let you bring it back.

UHMW Bushings Included

UHMW bushings are self-lubricating and have extremely low wear, so they stay tight and quiet much longer than stock rubber bushings.

Preinstalled Ball Joint Options

Use the ball joint picker to have joints pressed in before the arms ship, or reuse your stock joints (base price). Each upgrade adds to the price:

OptionWhat it is
Standard DutyHardened, zinc-plated chromoly stud and housing; as strong as or stronger than stock
Heavy-Duty 4340 ChromolyHardened 4340 VAR steel, greaseable and adjustable; tested to take about double the load of an OEM joint
Super Duty 300M300M steel, greaseable steel-on-steel design; about 2.25 times stronger than stock
Keller PerformanceThreaded two-piece design with no snap ring; chromoly stud and tool-steel body; greaseable and rebuildable

If you choose "I will do the work myself," you'll need to press your stock ball joints into the new arms.

Which Ball Joint Should You Pick?

Ball joints connect the A-arms to the steering knuckles, so they carry the whole weight of the front end plus every impact from the trail. Bigger tires make that worse: a taller, heavier tire acts like a longer lever on the joint each time it hits a rock or lands from a jump. That's why it makes sense to decide on ball joints at the same time as the arms.

  • Reusing stock joints keeps the cost down if your current joints are nearly new and you're staying near stock tire size.
  • Standard Duty is a good fresh replacement for a machine that sees normal trail riding.
  • Heavy-Duty 4340 suits riders who jump, climb hard or have gone up a few inches in tire size.
  • Super Duty 300M is the choice for 34-36" tires and aggressive driving, with the strongest stud in the range.
  • Keller Performance threads into the arm so it can't push out, and it can be rebuilt instead of replaced, which makes it the long-term pick for hard-used machines.

Having the joints preinstalled also saves you from needing a ball joint press and the hassle of pressing four joints into brand-new arms.

Sidewinder vs. Tube-Style Offset Arms

Both styles give you offset and clearance. The tube-style arms are lighter on the wallet and come in Black or Red. Sidewinders cost more because of their boxed plate construction, which spreads impact loads over a larger area and gives a stiffer arm with a custom, one-of-a-kind look. If you want your RZR to stand out at the trailhead and you ride where the arms take real hits, Sidewinders are the upgrade.

What Forward Offset Does to Handling

Pushing the front wheels forward lengthens the wheelbase, which calms the machine down at speed and helps it stay planted on steep climbs, since more of the weight sits behind the front tires. The tradeoff is a slightly wider turning circle, which most riders never notice on the trail. Combined with the extra tire diameter the offset allows, the RZR rolls over ledges and ruts that would stop a stock machine.

Planning a 35-Inch Tire Setup

  • 35" tires fit without a lift; plan on 34" if you run a front bumper
  • Stronger tie rods help the steering handle the extra leverage
  • A clutch kit restores acceleration lost to the taller tire
  • Heavy-duty axles handle the added torque load

Caring for Your Arms

After muddy rides, rinse out the inside corners of the boxed arms where dirt can collect, and check the powder coat for deep chips that could let rust start. Grease greaseable ball joints at each service and check the pivot bolts for proper torque.

Signs It's Time for New Arms

  • A bent or dented stock arm from a rock strike
  • Tires rubbing the body at full lock after a tire upgrade
  • Worn bushings causing clunks and wandering steering
  • Arms dragging over logs and ledges on your regular trails

Replacing the arms fixes all four at once, comes with new UHMW bushings included, and gives you adjustable camber for future lifts or accessories.

What's in the Box

  • Upper and lower front Sidewinder A-arms (left and right)
  • UHMW bushings
  • Preinstalled ball joints, if selected

Who It's For and What Pairs Well

For 2024-2025 RZR XP and XP 4 owners stepping up to 35" tires who want a stronger, standout front end. Pair with tie rods from 2024+ RZR XP steering parts and Rhino 2.0 axles from 2024+ RZR XP axles.
