What Radius Arms Do
The rear radius arms (also called radius rods) run from the frame to the rear knuckles and keep the rear wheels tracking straight and at the right camber as the suspension moves. They sit low, right where rocks and stumps hit, so a bent stock arm is a common trail failure. A bent arm throws off rear alignment, causing the machine to pull, scrub tires and handle unpredictably.
A Better Pivot Point
Many aftermarket radius arms use a fixed heim joint at the inner end, which binds as the suspension cycles and wears the bushings. These arms use an inner mount that can move up and down and side to side, so the suspension can articulate naturally without stressing the bushings. The result is smoother suspension action and longer bushing life.
