You put a big lift and huge tires on your Polaris RZR XP 1000, and now it's a workout to turn the wheel, especially in mud or rocks. The EZ-STEER Series 6 power steering kit puts 600 watts of assist behind the wheel and runs on a single battery, so you don't have to add a second battery to get big-tire steering. It's fully sealed against water and dust and fits the XP 1000 and XP 4 1000.
Highlights
- 600 watt motor that doesn't require a second battery
- Steers 50"+ tires with ease
- Eliminates steering feedback
- Compact control box for easier mounting and installation
- No soldering required for the wiring
- Sealed input and output shafts
- Waterproof control box and connectors
- Pairs well with GDP portal gear lifts
Total Steering Control
If deep mud fights the wheel, rough ground yanks it out of your hands, or you can't get the finesse you need on slick rock, the Series 6 is the fix. Its output overpowers mud and evens out rough terrain, so you keep control on every ride, even with tall, heavy tires.
Water- and Dust-Proof
The control box and shafts are watertight, so the unit keeps working even if you drown the whole machine. The same seals keep dirt and sand out, which is what slowly kills lesser EPS units. Everything needed for the install is in the box, and no soldering is required.
Tested to the Limit
The kit was put through heat, pressure and every kind of abuse the lab could throw at it, then field tested on an XP 1000 buried in mud, dragged through creeks and run up slippery climbs. Through all that it didn't overheat or overtax the battery. It's backed by a 3-year warranty.
Why Big Tires Need More Assist
Every inch of tire height adds leverage against the steering rack, and aggressive mud or rock tread multiplies the scrub when the machine is barely moving. That's where a smaller power steering unit runs out of torque and the wheel goes heavy again. The 600 watt motor in the Series 6 has the headroom to keep tires up to 50"+ turning lightly at crawl speed, and it does it on the factory charging system and a single battery, so there's no second battery tray, isolator or extra wiring to add.
Feedback Control on Fast Terrain
Assist isn't only about low-speed effort. At speed, rocks and ruts try to snap the wheel sideways. The Series 6 reads those hits and holds the wheel steady, which takes a lot of strain off your wrists and thumbs on long whoop sections and keeps the RZR tracking straight.
400 or 600 Watts?
If 600 watts is more than you need on a stock-size or mildly upgraded machine, the 400 watt EZ-STEER kit has the same sealed design in a smaller package. If you're running portals, a 7-10" lift or very tall tires, the 600 watt kit is the one to pick.

Who It's For and What Pairs Well
This kit is built for lifted, portal and big-tire XP 1000s. Pair it with heavy-duty tie rods or a RackBoss rack from RZR XP 1000 steering parts (4-seat: RZR XP 4 1000 steering parts), and see RZR XP 1000 portal gear lifts. Not compatible with machines equipped with Dynamix.
