Rock crawling in a Polaris RZR XP 1000 is fun until the A-arms, not the tires, end up holding the machine's weight on a ledge. These High Clearance 1.5" Forward A-Arms keep you up and out of that trouble. A bend design adds 1.5" of ground clearance without a lift, the 1.5" forward offset adds stability and room for bigger tires, and 1.25" tubing makes them much stronger than OEM. They fit the XP 1000 and XP 4 1000, with optional ball joints installed before they ship.

More Clearance Without a Lift Kit
The bend in each arm buys you an extra 1.5" of space under the front suspension. Off-roading is a lot more fun when you aren't hitting every rock on the trail, and you get that benefit without the cost, height and handling change of a lift kit.
Offset for Stability and Tire Room
The 1.5" forward offset stretches the wheelbase, which steadies the machine on hill climbs and over rocks. It also opens up space for larger tires: the manufacturer lists up to 33" tires with no lift and gives 34" as the maximum. On 2017 and newer models with stock wheels, plan on 1" wheel spacers, and you may need at least 1" spacers on other years too.
Stronger by Design
The arms use 1.25" tubing, a full 25% larger than stock, finished in a UV-resistant powder coat. The tubed design looks as good as it performs. UHMW bushings come with the arms. They're tough and self-lubricating, so they actually get smoother the more you ride, which saves time, money and hassle compared with greasing and replacing stock bushings.
Adjustable Camber
The adjustable pivot blocks come set to stock specs, so you don't have to touch them. If you add a lift kit later or want to fine-tune handling, the adjustment is there, and keeping camber correct prevents premature tire wear.
Preinstalled Ball Joint Options
Pick a ball joint in the "Need Preinstalled Ball Joints?" option and it's installed in the arms before they ship, so the arms are ready to bolt on. If you choose "I will do the work myself and reuse existing," you must move your stock ball joints into the new arms.
- Standard Duty: OEM quality without the OEM price. Hardened chromoly studs and housings, all zinc plated, as strong as or stronger than stock.
- Heavy-Duty 4340 Chromoly Steel: a hardened 4340 VAR steel blend with zinc plating, an easy-to-reach grease zerk and an adjustable design. Lab and field testing shows it withstands double the pressure of an OEM joint.
- Super Duty 300M: 300M grade steel, the strongest ball joint material available, with a grease zerk and adjustable steel-on-steel design. Rated 2.25x stronger than stock.
- Keller Performance: a two-piece joint that threads into the arm like a nut and bolt, so there's no snap ring and it's virtually impossible to pull out. A chromoly stud in a tool-steel body, greaseable and rebuildable, built for bigger machines and bigger tires.
Which Ball Joint Should You Pick?
Match the joint to how the machine is used. On a stock-tire trail RZR that sees mostly moderate riding, Standard Duty replaces the factory joint at a lower cost and is plenty. If you jump the machine, run 30" to 32" tires or ride hard every weekend, Heavy-Duty 4340 is the sweet spot: stronger, adjustable and greaseable. Super Duty 300M is for big tires and aggressive driving where the joint gets loaded hard on every landing. Keller is the pick when pull-out is your concern, since the threaded body can't pop out of the arm the way a pressed joint can. Whichever you choose, having it preinstalled means the arms arrive ready to bolt on and you skip pressing joints in the garage.
Wheel Spacers and Tire Clearance
Moving the wheel forward 1.5" changes where the tire sits relative to the A-arm at full steering lock. That's why the manufacturer calls for 1" wheel spacers on 2017 and newer models with stock wheels, and says you may need at least 1" spacers in other cases. Aftermarket wheels with more backspacing toward the outside accomplish the same thing. After installing, turn the wheel lock to lock with the suspension compressed and look for rubbing on the arm, frame and fender before your first ride.
Why the Arms Stay Factory-Geometry
Apart from the forward offset, the arms keep factory pickup points, so steering feel and suspension travel stay where Polaris designed them. That means the rest of your front end, from shocks to sway bar, works the same way it did before, just with more clearance underneath and a stronger arm.
What's in the Box
- Upper and lower front A-arms, left and right (color as selected)
- UHMW bushings
- Adjustable upper pivot blocks
- Ball joints installed, if selected
Who It's For and What Pairs Well
These suit trail and rock riders who want more clearance and a bigger tire without lifting the RZR. Add 1" wheel spacers from RZR XP 1000 suspension parts, pair the front with extended trailing arms in RZR XP 1000 trailing arms, and step up to heavy-duty axles in RZR XP 1000 axles and CVs. 4-seat owners can find more in RZR XP 4 1000 A-arms.
Fitment
| Year | Make | Model |

| 2014+ | Polaris | RZR XP 4 1000 |
- 2017+ models, with stock wheels, will require 1" wheel spacers

Installation Notes
Install with basic hand tools and the guide below. Check that wheels and tires clear at full lock, add spacers as needed, and get an alignment after installation. Re-check pivot bolt torque after the first ride.
