If your Polaris RZR XP 1000 still has stock A-arms, every rock and log you hit is a gamble with the front suspension. These High Clearance Boxed A-Arms swap the factory tubes for boxed 1/8" steel plate that shrugs off impacts, and a bend design lifts them 1.5" higher so they hit less in the first place. They fit the XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 in black or red, with optional ball joints installed before they ship.
Highlights
- Boxed steel construction for heavy-duty impact protection
- High-clearance bends add 1.5" of ground clearance
- 1/8" thick heavy-duty steel plating, 25% stronger than stock
- Fits up to 29" tires
- Adjustable upper pivot block for full camber adjustability
- UHMW bushings preinstalled at no extra cost
- UV-resistant powder coating resists chips, corrosion and fading
- Vehicle-specific fit, easy to install
- Backed by a lifetime A-arm warranty
A Smoother Ride Through Rough Terrain
Beefier arms with more clearance let the RZR slide through rocky trails instead of banging off them. The boxed construction takes hits that would dent or fold a tubular stock arm, and the camber adjustment lets you set the front end up for your riding style.
Effortless Ground Clearance
A unique bend design gives you an extra 1.5" under the arms without a lift kit, so rock gardens and stumps that used to hang you up are much easier to cross.
Boxed Plate Built to Take Hits
The arms are made from 1/8" heavy-duty steel plate, 25% stronger than stock, and they hold up even when they get knocked by logs. A UV-resistant powder coat adds corrosion protection and a bold look. Nearly indestructible UHMW bushings come preinstalled. If you do manage to break them, the lifetime warranty has you covered.
Adjust Camber Only If You Need To
Adding a lift or extra weight to a UTV changes camber and can wear tires out early. The adjustable pivot blocks make correcting that simple, but they ship set to stock specs, so adjustment is only needed if you want it.
Preinstalled Ball Joint Options
Choose a ball joint in the "Need Preinstalled Ball Joints?" option and it's installed in the arms before shipping. Select "I will do the work myself and reuse existing" and you must reuse your stock ball joints.
- Standard Duty: zinc-plated hardened chromoly stud and housing, as strong as or stronger than stock, without the OEM price.
- Heavy-Duty 4340 Chromoly Steel: hardened, zinc-plated 4340 VAR steel with a grease zerk and adjustable design, tested to withstand double the pressure of an OEM ball joint.
- Super Duty 300M: 300M grade steel with a grease zerk and adjustable steel-on-steel design, 2.25x stronger than stock.
- Keller Performance: a threaded two-piece ball joint with no snap ring, also offered in the option list.
Boxed vs. Tubed A-Arms
A tubular arm is light and strong in a straight line, but a hard side hit from a rock or log can dent or kink the tube. A boxed arm is built from welded plate with a flat bottom, so it spreads an impact across a wide surface and tends to slide off obstacles rather than catch on them. That makes boxed arms a favorite for rocky trails and tight woods where the front suspension is constantly getting hit from below and from the side.
Tire Size and Setup
These arms keep stock offset and are listed for tires up to 29". If you want to run bigger tires, look at the forward offset A-arm options instead. If you add a lift while keeping stock wheels, plan on 1" wheel spacers or steering stops so the tire can't contact the arm at full lock.
Choosing a Ball Joint
For a trail machine at stock size, Standard Duty is a cost-effective replacement. Heavy-Duty 4340 adds real strength and the ability to grease and adjust the joint. Super Duty 300M is for the hardest-driven machines. Having the joints preinstalled saves a press job at home.
What's in the Box
- Upper and lower boxed front A-arms, left and right (color as selected)
- UHMW bushings, preinstalled
- Adjustable upper pivot blocks
- Differential spacers
- Ball joints installed, if selected
Who It's For and What Pairs Well
These arms suit woods and rock riders who want maximum impact strength at stock width and tire size. If you're running a lift with stock wheels, 1" wheel spacers or steering stops are required. Complete the build with heavy-duty tie rods in RZR XP 1000 steering parts and boxed rear trailing arms in RZR XP 1000 trailing arms. 4-seat owners: RZR XP 4 1000 A-arms.
Fitment
| Year | Make | Model |
|---|---|---|
| 2014-2023 | Polaris | RZR XP 1000 |
| 2014-2023 | Polaris | RZR XP 4 1000 |
- Due to machine variance, some vehicles may need to use included differential spacers to clear the arms
- 1” wheel spacers or steering stops required if running a lift with stock wheels
Installation Notes
Because of machine variance, some vehicles need the included differential spacers to clear the arms. Separate guides for snap-ring and threaded ball joint versions are linked below.
