4" of Lift and Gear Reduction Right at the Hubs
Ask people who run their machines through deep mud and rock gardens what made the biggest difference, and a lot of them will tell you portals. This 4" GDP Portal Gear Lift gives your CFMOTO UFORCE U10 Pro two upgrades in one kit: more ground clearance and gear reduction built into each wheel hub. You pick a 15% or 30% gear reduction for more torque, and you choose cast or billet aluminum housings depending on how you build and ride.
- 4" of lift added right at the hubs for more ground clearance
- 15% or 30% gear reduction for more torque and less strain on the drivetrain
- Cast or billet housings, so you can build it the way you want
- 9310 steel gears paired with a hardened 4340 drive shaft
- Backed by a limited lifetime warranty
Pick the Reduction That Matches How You Ride
The two gear options are made for different kinds of riding. The 15% reduction gives you extra torque and still lets you hold the speed you want on fast trails and in the dunes. The 30% reduction is for big tires, thick mud, and slow rock crawling where you need all the pulling power you can get. If you tend to push your U10 Pro to its limits, portals are about as big an upgrade as you can make.
Less Stress on the Rest of the Drivetrain
Because the gear reduction happens right inside the wheel hub, the portals carry the load instead of the parts behind them. Your axles, differentials, prop shaft, and transmission don't have to work nearly as hard to turn larger, heavier tires.
Built Tough From the Housing Out
These portals are made to take abuse. Both the cast and billet aluminum housings are strong enough for hard riding, and they're paired with steel alloy backing plates for added strength.
- Housings are reinforced to hold the gears in place and shaped for good oil flow
- Steel alloy backing plates are stronger than chromoly
- Portal Blood gear oil is made specifically for GDP portals if you want to run the matching oil
- No vents on the housings. Testing showed vents cause more problems than they solve
Seals and Bearings That Keep Oil In
Leaks are the last thing you want from a portal box, so the sealing and bearings get a lot of attention:
- Gaskets and O-rings that resist oil and hold up over time
- Sealed input gear and a double-lip seal on the output
- Full sealing coverage throughout, so oil stays where it belongs
- Double angular contact output bearings to fight early wear
- Roller bearings on the idler and drive gears to keep the gears meshing correctly
Strongly Consider a Frame Stiffener
Bigger tires, hard hits, and the extra weight of portals all put more stress on the frame. A frame stiffener is strongly recommended with this kit so the chassis has the support it needs. You can add one when you choose your options.
