A Polaris Ranger is a work machine first, and winter is when a lot of that work happens: feeding stock, clearing lanes, checking fence and running to the shop before daylight. A cab heater that pulls heat from the Ranger's own engine coolant turns an enclosed cab into a place you can actually sit for an hour without numb fingers, and keeps the windshield clear so you can see what you are plowing.

Choosing a Polaris Ranger Cab Heater

  • Match the model year and size. Full-size Ranger 1000 and XP 1000 machines, mid-size Rangers and the Ranger 570 use different dashes, hoses and cooling layouts, so each heater kit is built for a specific range.
  • Look for defrost. Dedicated defrost vents aimed at the windshield matter more than raw BTU when you are running a glass or poly windshield in freezing fog.
  • Plan for a closed cab. Coolant heaters work best with a windshield, roof and doors or a soft cab enclosure that holds the warm air in.

Pairs Well With

Most Ranger owners who add heat also add a snow plow, a winch kit to lift it, and doors or a windshield to close in the cab.
