The Sidewinder is the A-arm people notice. Its tapered, boxed shape looks nothing like a stock arm, and on a Can-Am Maverick X3 it does real work too: 1.5" more ground clearance, a 1.5" forward offset that stretches the wheelbase, and room for tires up to 34" on 64" models or 36" on 72" models. If you want front arms that are as strong as they look, this is the set.
Why Riders Pick Them
- Forward-offset design adds tire clearance and lengthens the wheelbase
- Tapered steel design adds ground clearance with a low-profile shape
- Advanced alloy steel that stands up to hard trail hits
- Adjustable pivot blocks so you can dial in camber
- Lifetime A-arm warranty to protect your purchase
Built to Turn Heads
Everybody wants their machine to look the part, and these arms make a statement on any Maverick X3. They're aggressive and clean, and they set your X3 apart in a parking lot full of side-by-sides. But they aren't just for looks. Along with the extra 1.5" of ground clearance and 1.5" of forward offset, they help keep rocks and ruts from chewing up your front suspension, and they make room for bigger tires depending on your model.
Strength That Looks the Part
Great performance only goes so far if your machine blends in with every other X3 out there. What sets these arms apart is the tapered, boxed design. It's strong, sleek, and different from the usual round-tube arm, and it gets your machine noticed before you even touch the throttle.
More Ground Clearance
When you're crawling over rocks and logs, every inch of clearance counts. The bend design of these arms puts an extra 1.5" of space under the front end, so you can get over obstacles that stock arms would drag on or catch. The 1.5" forward offset moves the front wheels ahead, which adds stability, smooths out the ride, and makes room for bigger tires.
Lifetime Warranty on Boxed Strength
Boxed control arms are about as strong as A-arms get. These are made from 1/8" advanced alloy steel plate and finished with a UV-resistant powder coat. Each design goes through hard lab and field testing before it ever ships, so you don't have to baby them when you're riding. They're sold with a lifetime warranty, and if you somehow manage to break one, it'll be replaced.
Take Control of Your Camber
Big changes like a lift kit or larger tires can throw off how the machine rides and how the tires wear. That's why these arms have fully adjustable pivot blocks. They let you fine-tune camber to prevent early tire wear and keep the ride feel you're used to. They're preadjusted to stock specs before they ship, so you only need to touch the camber if you want to.
Order With Ball Joints Preinstalled
If you'd rather spend more time on the trail than in the garage, choose a set of ball joints in the options and they come installed in your new A-arms. That saves you time and the hassle of pressing ball joints yourself.
Note: If you don't select preinstalled ball joints when you order, you'll need to reuse your stock ball joints. Preinstalled ball joints aren't available on e-coated arms.
Heavy-Duty Ball Joints
The heavy-duty ball joints are built for performance and easy upkeep. Whether you're jumping or hill climbing, the hardened 4340 VAR steel and zinc plating can take it. They have easy-to-reach grease zerks and an adjustable design, and lab and field testing shows they can handle twice the pressure of an OEM ball joint.
Super Duty 300M Ball Joints
These use 300M grade steel, one of the strongest ball joint materials available, combined with a strong design to make an extremely tough ball joint. They have an easy-to-reach grease zerk and an adjustable steel-on-steel design that's simple to maintain. At 2.25x stronger than stock, they're about as good as ball joints get.
Keller Ball Joints
Keller ball joints have a two-piece design that doesn't need a snap ring. They thread into the A-arm like a nut and bolt, so they're nearly impossible to pull out. A high-quality chromoly steel stud and a tool-steel body make them a great choice for bigger machines, bigger tires, and bigger rides. They're greaseable and rebuildable too, so you can keep them working like new.
A Standard Duty ball joint option is also available if you want ball joints installed but don't need the heavy-duty versions.
Sidewinder A-Arm Questions
Which version do I order?
Pick the version that matches your machine's width: 64" wide, 72" wide, or 72" wide with Smart-Shox. The width also sets your max tire size, up to 34" on 64" models and up to 36" on 72" models. Check the fitment table below if you aren't sure which width your trim is.
Do I need wheel spacers?
Yes, if you run OE wheels or 6+1 offset wheels. In those cases, 1" wheel spacers are required for installation.
Are bushings included?
No. The arms work with OEM bushings or aftermarket replacement bushings, so you can reuse good ones or install fresh ones during the swap.
