Weather changes fast on a long ride, and a fixed windshield forces a choice before you leave the trailer. This Flip Windshield for the 2024+ Polaris RZR XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 lets you decide on the move: run it fully closed in rain, cold or dust, crack it open for a cooling stream of air, or flip it all the way up when the sun comes out.
Highlights
- Three riding positions: closed, vented or fully open, set from the seat
- 1/4" polycarbonate, about 250x stronger than glass and 25x stronger than acrylic
- Preinstalled hinges and robust mounting brackets
- Full-length bulb seal keeps wind and water out when closed
- Optional XR Optic hard coating on both sides
- Works with most soft and hard tops
- Made in the USA; 1-year manufacturer warranty
Standard or Scratch Resistant
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| Standard Polycarbonate - Clear | Full-strength 1/4" panel at the lower price; clean gently to keep it clear |
| Scratch Resistant Polycarbonate - Clear | Both sides coated with XR Optic for resistance to scratches, scrapes and UV yellowing |
A flip windshield gets handled more than a fixed one, so the hard coat is worth considering if you'll open and close it often or ride in dusty country.
Year-Round Riding Without Swapping Parts
With a flip windshield, there's no need to own a full and a half windshield and trade them out by season. On a cold morning it seals the cab; by lunch you can open it partway; on the ride home in the heat, flip it up. That flexibility is the main reason riders choose a flip over a fixed panel.
Built for a Rattle-Free Ride
The full-length bulb seal closes the gap at the hood and blocks wind and moisture when the windshield is down. Preinstalled hinges make opening and closing smooth, and heavy brackets hold the panel firmly to the cage in every position.
Polycarbonate vs. Acrylic
- Polycarbonate: the highest impact strength; won't shatter from trail hits; light enough to make a flip design easy to lift; benefits from a hard coat for long-term scratch resistance
- Acrylic: cheaper and very clear when new, but more likely to crack, craze or shatter on impact and quick to scratch and haze in dust, so it isn't recommended for UTVs
Care Tips
Wash the windshield with water before wiping, and use only a microfiber cloth and plastic-safe cleaner. Keep the hinges and seal free of packed mud so it keeps closing tightly.

Who It's For and What Pairs Well
For riders who ride through every season, or who ride long days that start cold and end hot. Pair it with a rear windshield from our 2024+ RZR XP windshields for dust control, and a roof or doors from 2024+ RZR XP doors to build a cab that can be opened up or closed down as needed.
Fitment
| Year | Make | Model |
|---|---|---|
| 2024+ | Polaris | RZR XP |
| 2024+ | Polaris | RZR XP 4 |
Note: Can be used with most soft or hard tops
Installation Notes
The windshield arrives with the hinges installed, so mounting is a matter of attaching the brackets to the cage, setting the panel and adjusting it so it seals evenly when closed. Plan on an hour or less with basic hand tools.
