A stock primary clutch on a Polaris RZR XP 1000 is built for stock use, and when you push the machine harder, with bigger tires or more aggressive riding, it starts eating belts and wearing out. This primary clutch assembly has a billet aluminum body and chromoly steel rollers and pins, so it holds up to more torque and abuse than the factory clutch. It works with your OEM secondary clutch, clutch arms and primary springs, and fits the XP 1000 and XP 4 1000.

Built for Harder Riding Than Stock

Billet Aluminum Body

Stock clutches use cast aluminum. This one is machined from 6061-T6 billet, which is tougher, and because billet is naturally balanced, it doesn't need the balancing holes OEM drills into its clutch. Those holes can compromise strength, so leaving them out makes the clutch stronger.

Chromoly Steel Rollers and Pins

The spider rollers and pins are 4140 chromoly steel, stronger and smoother than factory. The result is a clutch that's more reliable than stock and kills fewer belts.

Reuse Your OEM Parts

Move your OEM clutch arms and springs into the new primary, drop it in, and keep using your stock secondary. That keeps the swap simple and lets you tune later with your own weights and springs.

Installation Notes

Transfer your clutch arms and primary spring from the stock clutch, then install it with a proper clutch puller and holding tool. Follow the guide below for bolt torque.
