Worn or broken ball joints make steering sloppy and can leave you stranded with a wheel folded under the machine. These replacement ball joints for the Polaris RZR XP 900 and XP 4 900 come in three strengths, so you can match the part to how hard you ride, and they fit both the upper and lower A-arms.
Highlights
- Three strengths: Standard Duty, Heavy-Duty 4340 and Super Duty 300M
- Fit upper and lower A-arms
- Greaseable zerk on every joint
- Adjustable steel-on-steel design
- Sold as 1, 2 or 4
Which Strength Is Right for You?
- Standard Duty: an OE-style replacement for casual riding
- Heavy-Duty 4340: a hardened, black oxide-coated 4340 stud that's wider at the base, nearly 2x stronger than stock, for rough weekend trail rides
- Super Duty 300M: hardened, black oxide-coated 300M steel and a stud that doesn't narrow as much as stock, for 2.25x the strength of OEM, for big tires and aggressive riding
Why Stud Shape Matters
Ball joints usually break where the stud narrows. Keeping the stud wider at that point leaves more steel where the load is highest, which is a big part of why the heavy-duty and super-duty versions test so much stronger.
Easy to Maintain
Every joint has a grease zerk, so you can push out water and dirt after a muddy ride. The adjustable steel-on-steel design lets you keep them tight for many miles.
How Many to Order
Each front corner uses an upper and a lower joint. Order 1 or 2 to replace failed joints, or 4 to refresh the whole front end at once.
Not sure which strength to pick? If you've already broken a standard joint, step up at least to Heavy-Duty.
