The stock steering rack on a Polaris RZR XP Turbo S feels tight when it's new, but bigger tires and hard hits slowly work slop into it until the wheel wanders. RackBoss 2.0 is built to stop that. It uses X24 Tech, a dual-bushing design that holds the rack gear and tension spring almost motionless, and that cuts wear by more than half compared with stock. Pick from three tie rod packages to match how hard you ride.
Highlights
- X24 Tech dual heavy-duty PTFE bushings, one at each end of the housing
- Over 50% less wear than OEM after 15,000 cycles
- Housing 65% larger than stock
- Built-in grease fitting for the rack gears
- Rebuildable inner tie rods with boots
- Steering stop kit, misalignment bushings, tie rod studs and hardware included
- Three tie rod choices: swaged steel tube, solid steel bar or billet aluminum hex
- Patent No. 11,345,393
Why the Dual-Bushing Design Matters
Slop in a rack comes from parts moving inside the housing. RackBoss 2.0 puts heavy-duty PTFE bushings at both ends, which keeps the rack gear and tension spring in place. With that movement gone, you can run bigger tires and ride harder and still see less wear than a stock Turbo S rack. The grease fitting lets you keep the gears lubricated ride after ride.
Choose Your Tie Rods
Steel Swaged Tube
Light and strong. The swaging process adds strength to the 7/8" tubing. Inner ball and sockets use 14 mm rod threads and 16 mm rack threads, paired with 14 mm outer tie rod ends. A good fit for trail riders who want to get rid of stock-steering complaints.
Solid Steel Bar
For big tires and hard hits. These use 1" solid steel bars with 3/4" outer heim tie rod ends and rebuildable inners with 3/4" rod threads and 16 mm rack threads.
Billet Aluminum Hex
The strongest, lightest choice with a polished, premium look. 6061 billet aluminum hex rods with heavy-duty ends that use 3/4" rod threads and 16 mm rack threads.
| Swaged Tube | Solid Steel Bar | Billet Hex | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inner rod / rack threads | 14 mm / 16 mm | 3/4" / 16 mm | 3/4" / 16 mm |
| Outer tie rod end | 14 mm | 3/4" | 3/4" |
| Material | Steel tube | Solid steel bar | 6061 billet aluminum |

Signs Your Stock Rack Is Worn
- The steering wheel has free play before the tires respond
- The machine wanders or darts on fast, straight trails
- You hear a clunk from the front end when turning lock to lock
- The steering feels loose right after hard hits or rock crawling
If two or more of those sound familiar, the rack's internal parts are moving and a rebuilt stock rack will just wear out the same way. A RackBoss 2.0 replaces the weak point instead of patching it.
Picking the Right Tie Rod Package
Choose swaged tube if you ride mostly trails on stock-size or slightly larger tires and want the best value. Step up to solid steel bar if you run 32-inch or larger tires, crawl rocks or hit whoops hard. Choose billet hex if you want the strongest, lightest rods and the best looks on a build that gets attention. All three include the same X24 dual-bushing rack.

Who It's For and What Pairs Well
For Turbo S owners running larger tires, aftermarket A-arms or simply tired of vague steering. Many riders add power assist from RZR Turbo S steering parts, or upgrade ball joints and arms in RZR Turbo S A-arms at the same time.

Installation Notes
Plan a few hours in the garage. Remove the old rack and tie rods, install the RackBoss 2.0 with the supplied hardware, set the steering stops, then get a front-end alignment before your first hard ride. Grease the rack through the fitting as part of routine service.
