If your machine does not have a model-specific Firestorm kit, the universal GEN II kit is the way to add heat. It is a do-it-yourself kit with extra components, and it fits most machines that have enough dash space for the core and duct work. The 2024 redesign gave it a new heater core that can push up to 18,000 BTU into the cab.
What the Universal Kit Gives You
- DIY kit with extra components to fit most UTVs.
- New-for-2024 GEN II core that can make up to 18,000 BTU.
- A heavy-duty squirrel cage fan with a 3-speed switch.
- Four outlet ports feed the included defrost vents.
- Hidden core install where dash space allows.
Planning a DIY Install
- Measure the space behind the dash first.
- Plan the duct routing so the defrost vents point at the windshield.
- Fit the shutoff valve where you can reach it, so you can turn the heater off for summer.

Who It's For and What Pairs Well
This kit is for owners of older machines, less common brands or custom builds that do not have a dedicated heater kit. If your machine does have a model-specific Firestorm kit, choose that one instead, since it will bolt in with less fabrication. Pair any heater with a windshield, roof and doors to hold the heat in.
Installation Notes
Before ordering, look behind your dash and make sure there is room for the heater core, fan and duct runs. You will route ducts, mount the core, cut vent openings and splice into the coolant lines with the supplied radiator hose and alloy Y connectors. Follow the universal instructions PDF, then refill and bleed the cooling system.
