You need precise, dependable steering when you're running a 2024+ Polaris RZR XP 1000 hard through rocks and ruts, and that gets harder once you add bigger tires. This Heavy-Duty Swaged Tie Rod Kit replaces the stock tie rods with stronger swaged shafts and chromoly ends, giving you more strength than OEM without adding much weight.
Highlights
- Swaged shaft design for extra strength
- Nearly 1" diameter tie rods
- 4130 chromoly tie rod ends with hardened steel monoball bearings
- Heavy-duty chromoly inner ball and sockets
- M14 x 1.5 threads
- Stock length replacement; toe adjusts without disassembly
- Tie rods backed by a lifetime manufacturer warranty
Reinforced Where Stock Fails
When a tie rod breaks, the end usually gives out first. This kit uses ends with 4130 chromoly bushings and monoball bearings, which are much tougher than stock and need very little maintenance. The swaged shaft is thicker in the middle, where bending loads are highest, so the rod is stiffer without being needlessly heavy.
Swaged or Solid Bar?
- Swaged (this kit): big strength gain over stock at a lower price and weight; a great match for trail riding on moderately larger tires
- Solid steel bar: the strongest option, with 3/4" threads and heim ends, for big tires, rock crawling and repeated hard hits
Low Maintenance Ends
Monoball bearings in the outer ends are hardened steel and don't need regular greasing like some joints, and the boots keep dirt and water away from the inner ball and sockets. Check the ends for play when you service the machine, and the tie rods themselves carry a lifetime warranty against breakage.
Why Bigger Tires Need Better Tie Rods
Larger, heavier tires give the wheel more leverage on the steering, and every rock strike sends that force straight into the tie rods.
